Discover and monitor
Find accessibility issues on any page, then keep watching.
Scanner checks pages with axe-core, the open-source engine behind most automated accessibility testing, against rules mapped to WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 at levels A, AA and AAA, plus best practice. Every result shows exactly which elements failed, where they sit on a screenshot of the page, and how to fix them.
Included in
Quick Scan, Page Monitoring and scanning through the Developer API come with Business Pro and Enterprise Pro. Site-wide crawling of whole Applications is Enterprise Pro. Any signed-in account can run a free preview scan that shows how many issues a page has.

What Scanner does
Quick Scan any URL
A full report in moments: a score, issues grouped by WCAG level, every affected element and its markup.
See it on the page
A screenshot of the scanned page with each issue marked, linked both ways to the written report.
Monitor on a schedule
Re-check pages daily, weekly, monthly or every few days, and get an email when something actually changes.
Crawl whole Applications
Enterprise Pro crawls up to 2,000 pages per site, resumable, with a tracker for each issue across scans.
Reports people can use
PDF, Word, Excel and PowerPoint reports, as a failures-only summary or a comprehensive pass and fail record.
How it works
Step 1: Enter a page or add an Application
Scan one URL right away, or add a site to monitor it over time.
Step 2: Read the issues
Each issue names the rule, the success criterion, the elements affected and where they are on the page.
Step 3: Hand off to the next step
Send an issue to OnCall for an explanation or to Digger to find it in your code.
What it does, and what it doesn’t
Accessibility evidence only helps when it’s honest about its limits.
- Does: Runs the real axe-core engine in a browser, on the live page.
- Does: Reports AAA issues separately; the score is based on A, AA and best practice.
- Does: Marks each issue on a screenshot where the scan captured one.
- Doesn’t: Doesn’t prove conformance. Automated testing covers only part of WCAG, so manual review is still needed.
- Doesn’t: Doesn’t monitor pages behind a sign-in on a schedule yet.
- Doesn’t: Doesn’t run at an exact minute: schedules are checked hourly, in UTC.
