Open-source licenses
Last updated November 2026. Questions can be directed to hi@pallyfi.com.
Pallyfi is built from our own code and from open-source software written by others. This page lists that software, the licenses it's used under and where to get its source code. Pallyfi's own code is proprietary and isn't covered by these licenses.
axe-core
Pallyfi's automated accessibility checks use axe-core 4.13.0, an open-source accessibility testing engine. Copyright © Deque Systems, Inc. It's licensed under the Mozilla Public License 2.0 (opens in a new tab) (MPL-2.0).
- How Pallyfi uses it:scans run axe-core on Pallyfi's servers. The Pallyfi Capture Companion browser extension includes a copy, with its license text and notices in the extension package.
- Changes: none. Pallyfi uses axe-core as published, and its original copyright notice is kept with every copy.
- Source code: axe-core 4.13.0 on GitHub (opens in a new tab) and on npm (opens in a new tab).
- Rules: the automated rules, rule ids (such as
image-alt) and short rule descriptions in Pallyfi's rules pages come from axe-core. Pallyfi writes its own guidance, and links to Deque's documentation for each rule as an optional technical reference.
Pallyfi isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or certified by Deque Systems. axe and Deque are trademarks of Deque Systems, Inc.
Everything else we use
The full lists, with each package's version, license and license text, are generated with every release:
- pallyfi.com third-party notices (plain text)
- Pallyfi app third-party notices (opens in a new tab) (plain text)
- The Pallyfi Capture Companion extension and the Pallyfi Capture app for macOS each include their own notices file.
Most of this software uses permissive licenses such as MIT, Apache 2.0, ISC and BSD, which allow commercial use as long as their notices are kept.
